This innovative approach is the dynamic and adaptable information for the traffic and navigation systems to and from large events in addition to existing traffic concepts. The starting point of the concept is the scientifically based system for the reduction of all possible traffic combinations that produce congestion and the ways in which they are connected.

The relevant decision parameters are time, location of the event, the utilization of public transport, traffic status and parking lot situations are all modeled in the technical interfaces in the system. The system calculates the recommended route and passes this on automatically to mobile services and navigation systems of the visitor.

MOWIS, with the support of the Austrian research support society (FFG) and with partners like Siemens ITS, Nast Consult, RISC and DIMOCO, has developed a system that can be installed starting in 2008 throughout Europe as licensing becomes available. This is also possible for recurring large events (e.g., stages, town halls etc.). The first live application of the system is planned with the EM 2008.
