With support of the FFG, MOWIS provides, together with the O3 editorial staff, prediction software for the dangers of traffic jams on the basis of event and weather consequences with project partners including Arsenal Research and FH Viennese Neustadt.

For the first time, VorEWa undertakes an analytic evaluation of historical traffic data, weather data and event data. From this, the correlations are determined for the basis of an integrated traffic jam prediction product. The emphasis should lie in the prediction of potential traffic jam zones and not static "after the fact" predictions, so that the behavior of the drivers is able to change.

The basis for the implementation lies in the creation of a common database, which brings together different reference systems. A regional area for information, cross section data, distance data, and laminar effective conditions are brought here together. These also contain a direction vector as necessary for time dependence tests.
